We’re honored to welcome Dr. Katharine “Kate” Thompson 🤝 – a medical anthropologist, conservationist & scientific illustrator.
Based at Stony Brook University & Penn State, her work explores how communities in Africa adapt to ecological stress and zoonotic risks.
As Director of the Amani Foundation in Tanzania, she also champions child welfare while using art to bring science to life.
Her community-centered, ethical, and creative approach makes her an invaluable voice in both anthropology & conservation.
